Environmental education

The forest as a "Green Classroom" is a space where nature teaches and environmental conservation can be integrated into different areas such as natural sciences, mathematics, literature, art, health and wellness or social studies.

The Program

It is a living document that articulates and organizes the actions that the JBU carries out, and at the same time it is open to new proposals and views. It has priority as a structuring element for the construction of the Garden's identity. It is divided into two main areas: Environmental Education and Interpretation and Extension, Dissemination and Community.

Strengthen the knowledge, respect and protection of this and other natural spaces by the community of Ushuaia in particular, and visitors in general. And also, to bring the community closer to the Botanical Garden, for example, through educational visits, work days with volunteers, art and nature encounters, workshops, and tours through the forest.

It puts into practice the validity of dialogue and different scientific, artistic, cultural, poetic, ludic or affective knowledge. In this way, it seeks to generate reflections on fundamental philosophical aspects, such as the relationship between man and Nature.
